Free Green has a new twist on readymade home plans. They give them away free. This house, 01-001, has a traditional feel with steep metal roof, ready for photovoltaic integration.
Free Green gives the plans away, but offers customization and (presumably) make money from supplier recommendations. HMM, maybe we should offer free Farmhouse Modern plans?

Heather McGowen from Donald Gardiner Architects Inc. sent a nice email suggesting that they had several modern farmhouse plans for sale on their site. I took a look and found this one.It has several elements that I love:

Multiple buildings
A covered connection between the two buildings
Transom windows
A large porch
Wide stairs
A cupola
